Osmotherley Primary School is a caring, supportive and inclusive school with the needs of all the children at its heart. We are ambitious for children with SEND and we strive to offer educational opportunities and learning experiences which enable them to access the full curriculum and support them to reach their full potential.
At Osmotherley Primary School, we aim to provide positive and effective support through quality first teaching, additional support measures, training and resources and by making reasonable adjustments to meet the needs of our learners. Our inclusive ethos is inspired by our vision that every child is a valued member of our ‘small school, big family’ and it is underpinned by our school values of respect for all, empathy, resilience and reflection.
It is our aim to identify children with special educational needs as early as possible, in order to provide appropriate support and give them the best chance of future success.
All staff at Osmotherley Primary School share the responsibility of making appropriate provision for pupils with SEND. As well as your child's teacher, Miss Jane Bamber, our Senco, is also available to talk through any concerns that you have about your child's additional needs, support and wellbeing. Please contact the school office on 01609 883329. Our governor with responsibility of SEND, Mrs Amanda Beanland, can also be contacted through the school office.
