The cost of school lunches is currently £17.50 per week which equates to £3.50 per meal.
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 now have an entitlement to a free school meal.

If your child is having a school lunch, they will notify the classroom teacher in the morning when the register is called. Payment(s) are to be made online on Parent Pay. If you have any questions regarding your Parent Pay log in please contact the school office.
Please inform us before 8.55 a.m. if your child is going to be late so we can order a meal or if they will be absent from school so that no meal is ordered for them.

FRUIT AND VEG
Our school takes part in the School Fruit & Vegetable Scheme which entitles all children age 4-6 to a free piece of fruit or vegetable each day.
We receive a variety of fruit and vegetables including bananas, pears, apples and carrots. The children usually have their fruit after morning break along with their morning milk.
SCHOOL MILK
If you would like your child to have milk in school each day please alert the school office. Milk is free for under 5's however is charged at a rate of .25p per day for the Acorns and .50p per day for the Oaks. Payment is made via Parent Pay.

Our school meals follow a healthy-eating policy.
Our meals are produced freshly every day in a school kitchen from only:
- fresh meat and poultry sourced from the region;
- fruit and vegetables sourced regionally where possible using local suppliers;
- products free from additives associated with health problems in young children;
- fats free from hydrogenated oils; with
- menus that are nutritionally balanced

Free School Meals
Free school meals are available to children whose parents are in receipt of one or more of the following benefits:
- income support
- income-based job seeker's allowance
- income-related employment and support allowance
- Universal credit with an income of less than £16,190
- support under part VI of the immigration and asylum act 1999
- guarantee element of state pension credit.
Where parents are entitled to working tax credit during a four week "run on" period immediately after their employment has ceased, or after they have started to work less than 16 hours per week, their children are entitled to free school meals.
Children who receive income support or income based jobseeker's allowance in their own right are also entitled to free school meals.

Applications are usually processed the same day. If your child is entitled to free school meals you will receive a letter confirming the date when the meals will start. The school is also notified that your child is entitled to free school meals. In the meantime, you should continue to pay for free school meals until confirmation comes through. Schools may be able to arrange a reimbursement of any monies paid whilst your entitlement is being confirmed.
If you are not entitled to free school meals you will be notified in writing.
